Our driver standards
Vetted. Trained. Prepared for any load.
Shippers trust Illyro because every driver on our trucks has been screened, trained, and held to the standards FMCSA requires, and then some.
-
Thoroughly vetted and screened
Every driver candidate goes through a full background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse query, Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) report, and license verification before they are hired.
-
Intensive training programs
All drivers complete structured training in safety, load handling, customer interaction, and equipment operation. We do not put a driver behind the wheel of a customer's freight until they are fully prepared.
-
Modern, reliable equipment
Drivers work with a 2025 Freightliner M2 106 fleet. Nothing in the fleet is older than one year, so on-the-road reliability and uptime are baseline, not a gamble.
-
Family-owned operations
Illyro is family-owned and American-built. Ownership knows the drivers by name, the loads by lane, and the customers by phone. No anonymous dispatch desk.

License verification
Secure DL verification through our hiring platform
Driver license verification, MVR pulls, and FMCSA Clearinghouse queries are handled by our trucking-industry hiring platform. The same infrastructure used by carriers across the US to verify CDL credentials against state DMV records and FMCSA databases.
That keeps screening fast for legitimate applicants and tight for everyone else, without anything sensitive routed through a public website form.
-
CDL verification
License number, class, endorsements, and status checked against state DMV records.
-
MVR pull
Three-year motor vehicle record, with ongoing annual monitoring per FMCSA.
-
FMCSA Clearinghouse
Drug and alcohol violation queries per federal mandate, pre-hire and annually.
-
PSP report
FMCSA's 5-year crash and 3-year inspection history, straight from MCMIS.

- Yes. All drivers complete intensive training in safety, load handling, customer interaction, and equipment operation before they take a customer's freight. Training is scaled to your experience level.
